We booked a dog friendly room and it was idealy located next to a couple of entrances/exits to and from the garden and parking area, perfect for bringing the dog in and out from her walks. She was also left a few dog treats, nice touch. The room was comfortable and the ensuite was wonderful, with both a bath and walk in shower, both of which we made use of and found relaxing, with plenty hot water. The location of the hotel is Perfect for walks along the river and easy access to the beautiful town of Kelso. Breakfast was realy great too, as was the breakfast room, it is in a really lovley area of the hotel of lots of daylight and views of the garden and river.

Nicola

The restaurant and food were excellent and to a geat standard. The staff were well turned out and the tables were laid well with good linen and cutlery and crockery. The view from the restaurant over the River Tweed was beautiful and we watched various species of birds near the river. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fresh food on offer. The cooked choices were varied and delicious. The lounges and bars were comfortable with a Edwardian decor which has developed over the years. Kelso is a lovely Border town witha variety of very nice, individual shops and eating places. All in all our stay was short but it was very good

Valerie

Ednam House could not have been more relaxing or friendly, with very helpful staff. Lovely setting, great views of the river (and several heron). Superb period building with lovely original features, best of which were the open fire places and raging log fires. Just the place after a long day walking. Plenty of options for food and drink locally. Even though it was very early January and many businesses locally were closed after Christmas, there were still enough options for each of three nights.

Mrs

The area was nice, breakfast was nice, Lucy who worked in the restaurant in the morning was very Professional, polite, understanding, good sense of humour and smart Hilda who was the cleaner, couldn't do enough for you, rooms clean tidy well presented, Young Dan who muilt tasked, working in the restaurant and bar in the evening plesent polite smart, just got on with it without moaning,

Glen

Located in a central town location but quiet with views across the river. Plenty of parking. All Staff superb especially Lucy who was new to the job and worked hard to make our stay relaxing. Excellent quality food and presentation of dinner and breakfast. Wide choice of meals. Relaxing large terrace with seating.
